Message from the Chairman

Welcome to our website! I am glad you came to our website! Let me tell you a little about our group.

We are a group of homeschoolers, ages 12 and up, that want to make a difference in our country. We feel the Republican Party has our interests in mind. So therefore the name ³Homeschool Republicans.²

We are all Christians, who want to ensure that the freedoms we now enjoy are carried on to the next generations. We believe prayer should be protected and encouraged in public, private, and homeschool. When they took prayer out of public schools in 1962, they took an important part of our heritage and history, for our country was founded on God and His Principles. Patrick Henry said, ³It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.² I do not know if it can be said better. We were founded by Christians, not religionists, on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not on religions.

He also wrote on November 20, 1798, in his Last Will and Testament: ³This is all the inheritance I give to my dear family. The religion of Christ will give them one which will make them rich indeed.² This is powerful. This is all he gave to his family, the religion of Christ.

We want to take America back to the American Dream.

We believe parents should have the freedom of education, therefore we support the Voucher System. When parents decide on individual needs, everyone is better. The Voucher System will challenge schools to give a better education.

This is in a nut shell what we are. And some of the things we do are paging for representatives (state House) and planning to go to the Senate (also state) this month, help at Republican Conventions by directing cars on where to park, showing delegates and alternates where their seating is, running a booth, etc. (only wish we could go National!), and help wherever GOP candidates need it! We have toured government buildings (only local right now), and can¹t wait to do it again!

So far, one of the greatest memories of working on a campaign was the late state Rep. Harold Mann's. Mr. Mann was also an Honorary Member to the HSR, and supported us like a foundation supports a house. Needless to say, I am thankful for the time we had to spend with him and to work with his successful campaign.

We have a small but hard working group. We will make a difference, if only local. But local grows to state, and state grows to national. It is said that you must help from the grass roots up, not from the top down.

I hope this gives you a small look at our group, and if you have more questions, feel free to E-mail homeschool@republican.com. Either Russell (Russell is the site moderator, and does
quiet a good job) or I will E-mail you back.

And don¹t forget to check back for updates! I hope your visit here was pleasant, and if you see anything out of place, feel free to tell us!

We luv you President Bush and Vice President Cheney! You are awesome Attorney General Ashcroft! May God protect and bless each one of you and your families!

100% RepublICAN,

Maegan
